SWIR Single Photon Detectors

Qu-Pilot
InGaAs/InP-based single photon avalanche diodes (SPAD) for quantum cryptography and sensing. Single SPADs are packaged into a fibre coupled housing with an integrated TEC. The SPAD modules operate at telecom wavelengths (1310 nm and 1550 nm). SPAD array configurations are often needed for quantum sensing applications. The array configurations can be either 1D arrays with electrical interface on the same chip facet as the optical input as well as 2D arrays (Fig. 1) having the electrical and optical interface on the opposite chip facets. Due to the large variety of arrays, no standard configurations are available and designs will be on dedicated wafer runs. Field of Application and applied technology • Quantum cryptography (DV-QKD) • Laser range finding (LiDAR) • Optical Time Domain Reflectometry • SWIR quantum imaging • Quantum spectroscopy
